There is good news for the people of Betul village. The government has announced to give 15 lakhs to the displaced from the National Park (Satpura Tiger Reserve National Park). Along with this, 5 acres of land will be given for farming. This announcement has been made by State Forest Minister Vijay Shah. He had reached Betul on a short stay on Saturday.
Forest Minister Vijay Shah told reporters that the plan for expansion of Satpura Tiger Reserve National Park is being worked on. In this, 3 villages of Betul district, Malapur, Kondar and Jhalai will be evacuated. Discussions have been held with the villagers of these villages. In the past, where these rural families were getting very little facilities.
For which the villagers had made a demand. After considering their demand, it has been decided that those members of each family who have attained the age of 18 years at the time of notification will be given Rs 15 lakh and 5 acres of land for cultivation. The land to be given to rural families has been identified. Most of the land belongs to the Forest Department. A proposal has also been sent to the Government of India for the possession of this land.
Minister Shah told that the collector has also been asked to visit these villages with the help of police administration and discuss with the villagers. A notification should also be issued after the survey, so that it can be decided that exactly how many families of these villages are to be displaced. According to Minister Shah, a target has also been set to finish the entire process by December 2021.
