Situated in the Hoshangabad district of Madhya Pradesh, Satpura Tiger Reserve can be reached through the Madhai gate via a picturesque route. Taking a boat ride through the indulgent Denwa river is the only way it can be accessed. It offers a very scenic and dramatic entry to the wildlife reserve. The Madhai Satpura National Park area is just way too beautiful and incomparable with the other reserve areas. It is also located near the other more popular Pench National Park and Kanha National Park in Madhya Pradesh.
The Satpura National Park in Madhya Pradesh is just too visually splendid. One of the most visually stunning backwater escape you will ever experience is the boat safari in the Denwa river at Satpura Park. No wonder the park safari is equally good but, experiencing the boat safari is also a memorable experience in itself. The Boat safari is run by the MP Forest department and the charges are very nominal.
It is very easy to sight the various species of rare animals like Malabar Giant Squirrel, Gaurs, Sloth Bears, and Leopards apart from the ubiquitously found deer species. However, the immense beauty of the forest area will seize the desire of the tourists to sight the wildlife.
Boarding the engine-powered boat, and taking a solo early morning walk around the river, the crisp fresh morning air and solitude environment will definitely make the trip memorable and therapeutic for tourists’ minds ravaged by the city life.
As you ruminate along the Denwa river, the sun will spill its colour lyrically in the sky and the water. The Tourists here can watch the most picturesque sunrise thereby winning the tourist’s heart at first sight!!
At the night, the Denwa river is silvery sheen and in the morning, it turns into liquid gold. Thereby, impressing the tourists with the aesthetic sense of nature and a very good medium for capturing the moments through photography and videography for wildlife photographers.
